Thank you for considering cookhouse catering. We have provided a list of different catering options currently available. we are by no means limited to those items listed below. We enjoy doing the unusual. from authentic brazilian buffets to seven course elegant meals with entrees ranging from aligator appetizers to roast pheasant, there is very little we can't or won't do. If you have a special request, just ask. We would be happy to provide a quote.
Oaks Inn Cookhouse
The Oaks Inn Cookhouse Catering package is designed to provide general information on a variety of subjects. Once you have had an opportunity to review this information, please call and make an appointment. At that time, we will be happy to provide you with a no obligation quote for your function
We do not consider ourselves the least expensive catering facility in Chatham-Kent, nor do we consider ourselves the most expensive. We feel we have very competitive pricing, excellent food and service second to none. We ask only this of you, when comparing prices, "What are the reasons for the price difference?" Be sure you find out before the day of your function.
At the Oaks Inn, we regard ourselves as catering professionals, and with over 35 years of experience we provide quality service. Remember, at the Oaks Inn, it is your banquet done your way.

HALL RENTALS: Are based on the food and beverage requirements for each function, as these vary from banquet to banquet, hall rentals are quoted on an individual basis.

A choice of any two of the following: Prince Edward medley (a colorful combination of green beans, yellow beans and baby carrots), garden blend (a tasty mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, and sliced carrots), peaches & cream corn, baby carrots, glazed carrot sticks, Parisienne carrots, Brussels sprouts with onion cream, asparagus spears with hollandaise, green beans almondine, or any other vegetable of your choice.

We offer four different cheeses including provolone, mozzarella, mild cheddar, and herbed havarti. The cheese tray is garnish with a blend of red and green grapes. Dairy butter crackers, cracked wheat crackers, and golden sesame crackers are served on the side.

Vegetable Trays
Our vegetables trays consist of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, celery, Cucumber slices, carrot sticks, ¼ mushrooms, and pepper slices, served with our house dip. Vegetable prices vary from season to season but on average our cost is $1.50 per person.
Fruit Trays
Our fruit trays consist of honey-dew, cantaloupe, kiwi slices, watermelon, maraschino cherries, red and green grapes and strawberries (when available). The price of fruit varies from season to season but on average the cost is $2.00 per person.
Dessert Trays – Small $18.95 (24 pieces) Large $37.00 (48 pieces)
Our dessert trays come with an assortment of pastries and squares including an assortment of 4 different macaroon squares, butter tart squares, black forest squares, German chocolate squares, Boston Cream squares, carrot cake, an assortment of four different nanaimo bars and brownies. Customize the tray with however many pieces of what your favourites.
Standard Sandwiches - $3.25
Sandwiches are made fresh to order. Our standard selection includes: Roast Beef, Deli Turkey, Ham and Cheese, Mock Chicken, Mac and Cheese Loaf, Salami, Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Salmon Salad, Egg Salad, and Ham Salad. Sandwiches may be cut into 2’s or 4‘s and are available in white, whole wheat, multi grain, and marble rye.
Spirals - $5.95 cut into 10 spirals.
Made from fresh tortillas, spirals are filled, wrapped in plastic wrap overnight in the refrigerator and sliced before serving. Our spiral selection includes: Salsa, cream cheese and spinach; Crab and Hollandaise; Tuna Salad; peanut butter and banana. Our spirals are available on white, herbed, spinach and sun dried tomato tortilla shells. As an option, spirals can also be made using coloured breads which are sliced lengthwise instead of vertically.
Wraps - $6.95 each wrap is cut in half.

BAR EXPENSES
CASH BAR
Drinks for a cash bar are $3.75 per drink (either shots or beer). House wine (red or white) is priced out at $5.00 per glass.
FREE BAR
Free bars are priced on a per unit basis, as shown below:
1 oz. shot of liquor - $1.75
Bottle of beer - $2.75
Pop, juice, ice, glasses, lemons etc. - $ 2.25 per person for group of under100 people
Pop, juice, ice, glasses, lemons etc. - $ 1.95 per person for group of over 100 people
Bartenders with smart serve training - $ 9.95 per hour
10% PST and 5 GST and 5% gratuity are extra
Mix, and associated items are charged out at $1.95 or $2.25 per person. In other words, if you have 100 guests, your mix cost would be $195.00.
Bartenders cost $9.95 per hour, and we ask you keep in mind that our bartenders arrive early to setup and remain afterward to cleanup.
We also offer the “Loonie” and “Toonie” bar. It is based on the same idea as the free bar, however, we will charge your guests either $1.00 or $2.00 per drink and apply it towards your main bill. This will help reduce waste and is a nice alternative to the full price bar.
With any of our bar styles, selection and quantity is never a problem. We stock most of the major brands, and we can order in any specialty item you request, given ample notification.
For groups of 50 or less, we provide waitress service. This service may be billed individually or as a group charge.
For a special touch, you can have glass glassware for your bar. There is an additional charge of $1.00 per guest plus applicable taxes, due to the extra staffing requirements.
According to Liquor License Board Regulations ALL liquor, wine and beer must be purchased through the Oaks Inn Cookhouse license. We are responsible for ALL liquor served in the ballrooms. Any liquor not purchased on the Oaks Inn Cookhouse permit is not legal. This means that specialty bottled alcohol cannot be given out as favours. A standard banquet bar is open until 1:00 am. Staying open until 2:00 am is optional, but not recommended.

These companies provide a high quality wine and also offer V. Q. A., which refers to Vintners Quality Assurance. Wines with this label have only Ontario grown grapes and make for a fine wine.

RESERVATIONS
If you wish to reserve rooms for your guests, simply call and request to block off the total number of rooms you require. There is no obligation to you. At no extra charge, we will prepare pre-registration cards that may be included in your invitations. A self-addressed envelope will also be provided. The card below is a sample of our pre-registration card.
Please note: Rooms will be released 30 days prior to the date of the wedding, thus allowing us time to book unused rooms with other groups. Your guests may fill out the card and send it to us or call the Oaks Inn, thus completing their reservation.

Cheese Trays
Our cheese trays are available with sliced cheese, cubed cheese, skewered cheese or a combination of all three. We offer four different cheeses including provolone, mozzarella, mild cheddar, and herbed havarti. The cheese tray is garnish with a blend of red and green grapes. Dairy butter crackers, cracked wheat crackers, and golden sesame crackers are served on the side.

Meat Trays
Our meat trays are available with ham, salami, luncheon loaf and either Montreal smoked meat or deli turkey. They are garnish with pickles and olives.

Vegetable Trays
Our vegetables trays consist of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, celery, Cucumber slices, carrot sticks, ¼ mushrooms, and pepper slices, served with our house dip. Vegetable prices vary from season to season but on average our cost is $1.00 per person.
Fruit Trays
Our fruit trays consist of honey-dew, cantaloupe, kiwi slices, watermelon, maraschino cherries, red and green grapes and strawberries (when available). The price of fruit varies from season to season but on average the cost is $1.50 per person.
Dessert Trays – Small $18.95 (24 pieces) Large $37.00 (48 pieces)
Our dessert trays come with an assortment of pastries and squares including an assortment of 4 different macaroon squares, butter tart squares, black forest squares, German chocolate squares, Boston Cream squares, carrot cake, an assortment of four different nanaimo bars and brownies. Customize the tray with however many pieces of what your favourites.
Standard Sandwiches - $2.95
Sandwiches are made fresh to order. Our standard selection includes: Roast Beef, Deli Turkey, Ham and Cheese, Mock Chicken, Mac and Cheese Loaf, Salami, Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Salmon Salad, Egg Salad, and Ham Salad. Sandwiches may be cut into 2’s or 4‘s and are available in white, whole wheat, multi grain, and marble rye.
Spirals - $4.95 cut into 10 spirals.
Made from fresh tortillas, spirals are filled, wrapped in plastic wrap overnight in the refrigerator and sliced before serving. Our spiral selection includes: Salsa, cream cheese and spinach; Crab and Hollandaise; Tuna Salad; peanut butter and banana. Our spirals are available on white, herbed, spinach and sun dried tomato tortilla shells. As an option, spirals can also be made using coloured breads which are sliced lengthwise instead of vertically.
Wraps - $5.95 each wrap is cut in half.

Tuscan Curry Sandwich – Chicken breast, Hellman’s curry sauce, mozzarella, baby spinach on foccacia

Garden Salad: Iceberg lettuce with onions, cucumber, tomatoes, green pepper and mushrooms with a selection of salad dressings.
Mandarin Salad: Assorted greens, banana slices, walnut pieces, mandarin orange wedges, cherry tomatoes, and red onions, topped with a drizzle of brandy and peach dressing.
Gourmet Tossed Greens: Tossed greens with baby spinach, radicchio, Romaine, and iceberg lettuce, tossed in our Sun dried tomato and oregano vinaigrette and topped with red onions, cucumber, cherry tomatoes.
